Zoe So was born and mostly raised in New York City.  She has also lived in Hong Kong and various countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Before becoming interested in journalism, she worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the field of international development, and focused on conflict and post-conflict issues.  Zoe hopes to continue exploring social and cultural themes related to human crisis through journalism.
