Thorsten was born in Windhoek, Namibia on October 4, 1983. He completed his undergraduate studies in journalism at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, from 2003 to 2008.  From February to June, 2009, he was a business and economics reporter at The Namibian newspaper in Windhoek. Thorsten is reporting for The Uptown Chronicle this year.
