Before moving to New York, Emma worked as a contributing writer at various California weeklies, including the East Bay Express and San Diego CityBeat, where she covered topics ranging from the death penalty to UFO enthusiasts. She has professional experience as a copy editor, tutor, and baker – but her passion is for writing, mainly arts and culture stories.
